Jordanian American Heritage Association
The Jordanian American Heritage Association (JAHA) is a non‐profit organization with a mission to establish communication channels among Jordanian Americans in Michigan and provide the community with Social, Economic, Educational and Cultural services. JAHA will work to implement various programs to focus on serving families, children, individuals, and youth in our community.
Our goals and services since inceptions in late 2022 have focused on enriching the Jordanian American and Arab American community at large by hosting various events promoting our culture and heritage. JAHA is also working on building a nationwide network with similar communities in major cities to have a nationwide vision for our communities.
Our social program
Our social program helps many newcoming families and individuals adapt upon arrival. This includes finding living space, finding job opportunities or assigning a mentor to help with the transition process of living in the new state.
Over the last two and a half years, we have shifted a lot of efforts on supporting college students by helping establish Jordanian Student Associations at various campuses including Oakland University and Michigan University. In Addition, we have built a program to support many graduate students from Jordan find opportunities to intern or continue their education here in Michigan with a focus on medical students. This program has enabled many medical students to do their medical rotations or get residency in the states.
